Super Saturday 2012

This year's Super Saturday is scheduled for

We have some great classes being arranged.  We know that last year, many of you wanted to do most of them, so this year we are trying to arrange it so that it will be possible for you to do ALL of the classes if you'd like.  Isn't that great?!

Along with these 6 classes, we will also be having an 

on-going service project for members in Guatemala.

Sisters:  Please bring any unused (but in good shape) jewellery you don't use anymore, as well as any small stuffed animals (beanie baby size) that your kids don't play with anymore.  These are not able to be donated in Calgary due to hygienic reasons, so they will be taken to Guatemala for the members there.  If you are donating any earrings, please sterilize them first before bringing them.  Many families don't have electricity.. any small LED flashlights would be welcome also.

The items gathered will be taken to Guatemala in the spring to the members there that are living in such poverty.  We hope this small gesture will brighten their lives a little.  We will continue to collect items until the spring for this project.

Sandwiches for the Homeless - 26 July 2012

We have been asked by the Stake, to make sandwiches for the homeless for the month of July.
We will be making them on Thursday, July 26th, along with our Ice cream social.

Ward Talent Show on February 25th

The Primary is hosting a fun evening that will be featuring the talents of all the kids (primary aged and the youth) from the Ward. They're hoping ALL the kids can either perform something or put something on display for viewing.

The Talent show will be held on Saturday, February 25th starting at 5:30pm at the West Stake Centre. Dinner will be from 5:30-6:30 with the program to follow.

Along with the Talent Show, there will be dinner, but in order for that to happen, they need YOUR HELP! Please take a look at the items on the following lists and decide what you can bring to help... (any questions can be directed to the Primary Presidency and not the RS...)

We're so excited to be hosting a Super Saturday this year. Mark on your calendar...

Also going on ALL day is a service project...

Toques for People in Need.
Looms will be available to make toques for delivery to both the Rocky View Hospital baby ICN and to a local homeless shelter.
There will be a station set with knitting looms, so that we can all do one!
No cost and no need to sign up. Just drop in when you've got some free time between classes.

• Last day to sign up is this coming Sunday October 23rd.

• Deadline for payment is October 30th - CASH only please!

Lastly, just so you know, we will be serving a nice LUNCH from Noon until 1pm.
